The number plate of Basil's red Austin 1100 Countryman changes in different episodes. In Fawlty Towers: Gourmet Night the car's number is WLG 142E while in Fawlty Towers: Basil the Rat, the car's number becomes OYF 747R.
Even though I could do with having one in the car I just can't bear the thought of Himself arguing with sat-nav if we were travelling somewhere together. It would become a person to him, a backseat driver if you like. Yes, I know I could turn off the sat-nav but Himself would argue that that would be a waste of money & he would enjoy the challenge of catching out the 'voice.'

The Sat Nav is built in to Mr FP's car and is excellent at finding back ways when visiting NT properties. She was responsible for our five hour standstill on the M60 last year though. Mr FP rarely challenges her as she has direct links to traffic snarl ups. She can be made silent so just the the screen shows. Now mine is attached via the cigarette lighter and can fall off the windscreen if not firmly stuck on. I can see the right spot by the traces she leaves behind.
