It's made with dried peas Itchy, and usually boiled in a bag in a pan alongside a collar of bacon for flavour. I think a tin from the supermarket may be the way to go for convenience lol!

I'm having pease pudding for dinner tonight - that's another blast from the past that I discovered in a supermarket recently. Delicious with gammon or pork chops.
I adore pease pudding. It's called Fava here and I make it a lot, it's really easy to make.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
I've been up here 14 years and I've still not tried pease pudding.
I've been told it's nice in a ham sandwich so I'm going to buy some of the stuff and see what all the fuss is about. It LOOKS about as appealing as sandwich spread...
I've never had pease pudding. Never appealed I must admit - once again I am with Mr M on its looks!
Having said that, I just did a quick Google (as one does) and in some pics it looks a bit like solid hummus. I like lentils in soups and stews and I love hummus so maybe I am missing out. Is it cheap? If it is I might get Mr EB to pick up a can - for me, I know he wouldn't eat it to save his life!!
