I like to have a real tidy up every spring. And my house is pretty clutter free for the most part. It will be even more clutter free this spring as Baby Tink is due to move out.
Rolled up neatly, arranged first by colour then working from back to front thickest at the back, thinnest at the front in the warmer months then change them around when the weather changes.

That's more or less what I have - although I have two drawers , one for proper socks and one for lighter weight . She is anti rolling apparently as it is cruel to your clothes' souls so I wanted to know if that applied to socks too.
I can't tell if I have lots of clutter - can't see for all the stuff around my house.
My socks get stuffed into a half open draw and when I want some I just keep grabbing until I find two that more or less match - or just grab two sometimes. Same with my knicker draw except that I don't have to worry about matching
I am seriously untidy, always have been, but now I can't do tidying. Himself is also seriously untidy. We have way too much stuff but can't bring ourselves to get rid of things cos they all hold memories of some sort. If we had a chuffing great mansion we would fill it in a very short time. Gonna be a bugger when we have to downsize
I regularly declutter. Having moved a number of times, we've been quite brutal.
Now with a potentially huge move on the cards in a few years time, we'll be even more brutal. As soon as the weather improves, we're going to clear out the garage.
I colour code my long sleeved T's on a regular basis, and although I have lots of clothes, I have a one in one out policy.

I couldn't wait to try it on my proper sock drawer and it's a I can see all the socks at a glance , they are in colourways and they will be not scrunched from rolling.
