Finished the Chris Difford (Squeeze) book. Very honest account of how he has been battling alcoholism and depression all through his musical career.
Now started the new collection of short stories by William Boyd and Adrian McKinty's 'I Hear The Sirens Calling' (excellent crime series set in 80's Northern Ireland)
Just finished No Conscience by Phil M. Williams, it's about sociopathy.
Now started Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. Two sisters get sold in marriage to Chinese Americans looking for brides,by their father, in 1937, just as Japan invades, to pay his gambling debts. They end up in America.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
Faint cold fear by Karin Slaughter, part of the Grant County series. The third of six I think. I'll probably read the series before moving on to a new author. Crime as per usual.
Dictatorland a fascinating insight to the various African dictators and how they all benefited from Western support at some stage. Think it is based on a radio series?
