What was horrible about it, @lewis? I looked it up and it said there was evidence of an ancient forest beneath the seabed. How interesting. But I suppose that does not do much to help one enjoy their time on holiday/vacation.

It was grim beyond belief. We went when the kids were tiny and at the height of financial embarrassment, so it was a trip organised and paid for by my parents who came along too. In hindsight it was good of them, but at the time it was awful. My mum managed to drop Moodyson II age 5 months off the bed when changing his nappy. She cried twice that week, once over the falling baby incident and again during an argument with Mrs M over a pot of yogurt. Oh and the pub was a mile away. Happy days.
