Your meal is not too dissimilar to what we will be barbecuing NYD. Apart from sausages, salmon for the veggies, I have marinaded some pork chops (now in the freezer) which will get more sauce while cooking, and we having roast potatoes cooked with red onions, herbs and whole cloves of garlic.
Fortunately, all my veggie friends eat fish which makes them easy to cater for. There will be salad etc, and I'm also making a caramelised onion tart they can tuck into.
What can a hostess who cannot stand the sight or smell of fish give veggies at a formal but rustic dinner party?
I say formal because they won't have to use the same cutlery all night but rustic because I can't be arsed to smear a bit of puree here or artfully arrange tiny dollops of jus there.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Do they eat eggs and cheese Nellie? I've got one family vegetarian member who won't eat fish or eggs, but eats cheese, I have to get creative for her at times.

I don't pander to them either. They all seem to like what I do for everyone else, apart from the meat, so I just make sure there is something they can eat along with the accompaniments. Puddings are never an issue and there's cheese and biccies if they're still hungry.
