I got one from 'Apple' on Monday telling me that my account was going to be closed because I hadn't used it for a while. There was a link to click on so I could reactivate it. I deleted it eithout clicking anything because 1) I knew it was a scam and 2) I have used my account recently. If they're going waste time with these ridiculous scams then they really ought to get their facts straight.
I've also now got so many blacklisted numbers on my mobile, after numerous stupid phone calls, I'd be surprised if it ever rang again.
Some weird virus thing just popped up on my screen along with some dubious looking websites, and a voice told me my hard drive would be deleted in five minutes!
I wasn't doing anything wrong I promise.
I managed to reboot the laptop and it's gone... I hope.
I've had 3 emails this week telling me my PayPal account has been limited and I need to click on the link to sort it out. They've promptly been forward to spoof@paypal.com
The highlight of my day so far has been a call from very nice young American man from Microsoft, nice to have a scammer you could understand clearly. It was tempting to spurt forth a tirade about Windows 10, but "go away" was easier.
What are they going to think of next? Luckily we don't get calls like that over here - we are ex directory which doesn't always stop the calls but the only time we get nuisance calls is about once a year from our landline provider wanting us to upgrade the package we are on.
