Staggers me that people would commit to major, potentially life changing surgery without doing research. It's a field that needs to be regulated far better, to stop any old hack picking up a scalpel.
But that won't stop those who go abroad for cheap cosmetic surgery though. How could anyone undertake what is often major surgery in a hospital they've never been to, by a doctor they've never seen before and more than likely staff who don't speak English and who apparently discharge you the day after to re-cooperate unattended in a hotel?
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
People aim for too much. I've never understood how celebrities who, let's face it have the money to spend, can get it so wrong, but then I suppose they march in a surgeon's office and say they want this, that & the other done. People like Judi Dench & Helen Mirren got it right - subtle. Anne Robinson got it right the first time, but then went back for more. As for botox, I've never understood the attraction of a frozen face or a mouth like a duck.
Your comments hit the mark for me Liv. I know some celebrities believe and it may be true, that their bread and butter is their looks, but for heavens sake, don't go to such extremes where you're unrecognizable. Some look like they're wearing a mask.
I admire the ladies you mentioned and the American actresses Susan Sarandon and Sally Field. If they've had any work done, it's minimal. They still look like themselves and they are beautiful!
