I find Tesco's Pro-Tech Sensitive toothpaste the best for me but I noticed my teeth had sudenly got yellow. I tried Oral-B 3D White and it is very good. I only use it once a week and it does the trick. I need a new tube so I might try one the others.
I've been using the Oral B 3D white luxe perfection, and it works!
We are just back from town and I bought this in Boots. It was bogof. Thanks Cog and everyone.
I have never had sparkling white teeth even as a youngster but you can't have everything - dentists told my Mum that my teeth were strong and up until a few years ago I didn't need many fillings. I had braces when I was 16 for 2 years so they are reasonably straight.
FP - I have no intentions of giving up my pleasures. I have hardly any left these days so I will carry on drinking coffee, tea and a fag now and again. No, I am lying, as I would like to give up again and I need to, it is very bad for me. It's so difficult though.
After our discussions re suggestions for whitening toothpastes I decided to try the GloWhite recommended by Tinks they do three types smokers, professional choice and the one I bought tea and coffee formula. I've been using it for about 10 days now and I'm amazed at how much of a difference it's already made and although my teeth are a little more sensitive than usual it's not that bad that I can't cope with it. I've decided to use it until they are white enough and then reduce it to just only once a day or every few days to get the whiteness/sensitivity balance right.
If anyone's interested Tesco's have it on offer at £2 which is half it's normal price and that includes a toothbrush and a small pack of interdent brushes!
Thanks Tinks
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
And since this thread I've been using the Oral B 3D white luxe Perfection, bought half price in Superdrug. I had been using another type of Oral B but do find that I like this new toothpaste better and it is effective. So my thanks to Cog and any one else who recommended it and also @itchy for starting the thread.

Me too. As I mentioned earlier I bought it in Boots, BOGOF. It has improved my teeth's whiteness. I was very sceptical as I have tried so many toothpastes without any improvement.
I happen to notice a mass of white spots on the inside of my lips a couple of weeks ago, like a rash. Being a bit worried, I google the symptoms and it turned out to be Fordyce spots which are very common. They can apparently be caused by whitening toothpaste, which I had used the previous two days. Normally, I only use it once every week/10days and sure enough the spots were gone after a couple of days. I still use occasionally, but it's a bit worrying I think.
