As I can't get to the beauty salon at the moment I can't get my six weekly eyelash dye so I have bought some of this new Rimmell mascara that is supposed to darken your lashes if you use it for at least a fortnight. Got it from Amazon. The reviews say it comes off easily onto your face but on its first outing that didn't happen for me. The brush is nice and I got good root to tip coverage. I will let you know if it darkens my lashes satisfactorily. Mine are usually so fair you can't see them without artificial aids.
I saw the ad and wondered about it. My lashes are very pale at the ends so look very short. I used to get them dyed but that is more difficult now. Do keep us posted and maybe I will give it a go if you are impressed! Sorry to use you as a guinea pig!
I bought it after seeing a TV advert and have been using it for five days now. I've got blonde eyelashes and so need mascara to get any definition to my eyes and thought I'd try this to see if it works. The blurb says that it needs to be used daily and that the eyelashes will revert back to their normal colour when you stop using it. However, as it is as good as my mascara then I'll probably keep using it, rather than stopping when it's used up. I've had no smudging etc., as yet, and it doesn't irritate my eyes either, which is a bonus.
It's too early to say whether or not the semi-permanent dye works, but I'll keep you posted and I'm sure FP will too.
I bought mine from Boots.com and it was at a reduced price/on offer.
I used to buy Colorsport Mascara Black Eyelash & Brow Dye Kit I'll give you a tip if you are tempted to buy it - Don't leave the brow dye on too long! I looked like Attila the Hun on a rampage
Took the plunge - £5.35 from Amazon with free delivery seemed a good bet and not too much money wasted if I'm allergic or whatever! I have never reacted to an eyelash tint before, but with me you never can tell!
I don't really need to have better looking lashes as it is mostly only the dog that will see (Mr EB would never notice!) but if I feel I look ok then it's a boost to morale.
Absolutely EB. If it lifts you then its a fiver well spent. I wear makeup every day unless I'm too sick to lift my head off the pillow. Might just be a slick of mascara and a swirl of powder but its still there.
Mascara arrived this morning - so far so good. Now, I have hit upon a tincey-wincey problemette......you can't put mascara on whilst wearing specs and without my specs I can barely see my eyes let alone my lashes! I have got the hang of eyeliner by feel but mascara is a whole different kettle of fish.
I think I need a hugely magnifying mirror - or an assistant, but if you think I am letting Mr EB near my eyes with it you are seriously mistaken!! I shall have to work on it......

I have a magnifying mirror for application of all make-up ( except my NFFS Perricone which I apply as I would a moisturiser). Mine is a ceapy from Boots which has travelled abroad and up and down the country without damage. Also use it in hotels where the mirror is too far away to see how I am drying my hair. It's like an old fashioned shaving mirror so you can stand it up on books etc to get it to the height you need.
There are a couple of magnifying shaving mirrors in the upstairs bathrooms but, as I rarely go up once I have come down for the day, I really need one downstairs. All my face cleaning and decorating stuff is in the cloakroom so I need one there. I NEED it I say!
