I only drink about 2-3 cups of coffee a day. I really like Americano because it is strong and has a lovely flavour, but I don't how it affects me either. I don't notice a high after drinking or crave it at all, I don't drink anything else with caffeine, not to my knowledge anyway.

Well done with the smoking, itchy. And as a non-smoker since December 2008, keep it up because it's well worth it.
The maximum number of coffees I'll have in a day is 3, although most days it's only 2 so I don't know what effect the caffeine is having on me. I don't really drink tea although I might have a cup of herbal tea about twice a year. I do drink loads of water though which hopefully counteracts any 'issues.'
I think that if you can take or leave caffeine and have no problems if you can't get caffeine then its not something you need worry about too much.
My problem was I felt dreadful without it so I knew I was dependent on it. Mr Tink's problem is similar. He drinks lots of coffee during the week at work and then he has headaches at the weekend when he drinks none at all.
Itchy ... how was the holiday?! Fab I hope. I'm ready to go again lol.
We had a wonderful holiday thanks Tinks. It was everything we wanted and more. I really hope it won't be another 6 years before we can go again! I hope you enjoyed yours too.

I did thank you. Oh yes chick. I hope you don't have to wait another 6 years. Too long!!
How's the vaping going Liv? I must admit I like mine and have not missed cigarettes at all and I was a heavy duty smoker. At least 20, sometimes 30 a day. I am shocked at how well I have coped.
I use to only drink coffeemaker drip coffee but for months now, I've been drinking instant coffee - regular during the day and decaf in the evening. I've been enjoying. I still make coffeemaker coffee for my husband though.
coffeemaker coffee - Folgers Classic or Maxwell House instant coffee - Nescafe
I must be quite lucky. During the week at work, I must have at least 8 large cups of coffee a day, every day, but at weekends I have a maximum of 2 cups in the morning and that's it. Obviously I'm still having caffeine every day, but I never seem to suffer with my reduced intake on a weekend.
I do about six coffees a day, #3 has just been made - in mitigation I was up very early today.
Never touch tea, and no caffiene after 6pm, that's the time for beer or pop/juice depending on whether I'm working next day or not. My healthier regime has ground to a halt recently, but I'm going to start again when she's home. Pointless this week as I'll be living on curry and MIL dinners.
Mr Moody makes a good point about the time you drink. I finish work at 5pm so I make my last about 3.30. I never have anything later than that. I suppose that could make a difference?
