My hair is now shoulder length, having had it cut last year, and mine dried in under ten minutes yesterday using the cool setting on my Ego hairdryer. My other hair dryers are an Ego travel one and a £5 one from Tesco. All do the job effectively.
If I had short hair that needed styling then I might consider a Dyson, but only when the price drops although I'm sure that other companies will produce something similar in future years. At the moment, I just blow dry my hair and use a brush to turn it under, as it's similar to a shoulder length bob I suppose, so I don't need to faff about styling it.
I don't drink or smoke either but still can't justify spending that much on my hair, although I do buy things that I want without thinking about it. As many of you know from previous posts, I also wouldn't spend that much on shoes or handbags. I'm very fortunate to be financially stable but when items cost more than my winter heating bills I can't justify buying them, which is ridiculous really when I'll buy a new car, when it wasn't needed, just because I liked its style.
I reckon I'm just one crazy woman because if a friend wanted a Dyson hairdryer and couldn't afford it, then I'd buy it for her but I won't buy it for me.
I'm glad that everyone who has bought it is delighted with it though.
My hairdryer is even cheaper - God's own good fresh air on my Hilda Ogden rollers.
I do own a travel hairdryer - it cost £9 from T.J. Hughes some years ago - but I've never used it and only bought it to replace the one with the hood I inherited from my mother that Mr Nell said looked archaic and dangerous.
Just pull up in a band and the ends dry in curls just needing a quick tonging. It a lot of faff to dry it, which is why I would to try the Dyson at sometime. I must say I've noticed a difference with my hair since drying it naturally, much more shiny.
I wouldn't be without a hairdryer. I might try the Babyliss next time, maybe the last one I'll need with 10 year guarantee lol!
With your piggy bank money, you could get this instead - I'm pretty certain you mentioned wanting an Honora Ming pearl necklace and this one is at a feature price:
I rate Babyliss hair dryers for longevity. My Babyliss hairdryer that the Dyson is replacing must be 15 plus years old. So old in fact the first Mr Tink bought one to replace it as he thought it was on its last knockings. I've been with the current Mr Tink for over 10 years lol.
