In addition to the problems above, it has become uber sensitive which again is something I have never suffered with.
My sensitivity came out of the blue & it took ages to find the trigger. With me it was SLS -Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and anything perfumed. My advice for what it's worth is to try a perfume free non foaming cleanser. Perhaps a trip to Boots?

I never use foaming cleansers. I have been using No7 Hot Cloth one and also superfacialist Rose Hot Cloth cleanser, again from Boots. Both of them are making my face really red and hot. Every serum and moisturiser I have are having the same effect except my Ultrasun Face 30. Thank goodness.
Would it be worth trying Cleanse and Polish again, Itchy? I know it's not cheap but it is the only one that suits my sensitive skin (rosacea). I used to be very wasteful with it and use two or three squirts from the pump but realised I was just washing it down the basin - one squirt is enough really.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.

I could use it again Nellie but I don't think it would be any different to the other things I am using at the moment. I can cope with the red and hot skin but it's the painful lumps and acne spots that is hard to put up with. I can't use any of the creams I bought from Aldi a few months ago. Luckily they were not expensive but they a bit greasy and were making the problem worse.

I know they get a thumbs down , but have you tried the Boots Botanics Cleansing Face Wipes suitable for sensitive skin? It's my go to when traveling or when too knackered to cleanse with products and water.
Try this Itchy as a cleanser. Slather it on and take it off with a flannel. It's one of the things the doc recommends for eczema. Just to try and settle your skin down again. Cheap as chips.

@itchy, I've been using for a while now....it must be a while as the bottle is just about finished....Boots Botanics Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solition All Bright. Bit of a mouthful but it cost just £2.50.
I also love Liz Earle Skin Repair moisturiser, very light on the skin and you need very little but it makes the face feel nice and soft.
Thank you for all the suggestions. There are a few reasons why my skin is misbehaving. I won't go into details as this is on the public part of the forum. We could discuss it further on the members only section.
