I can't think of what to say... Actually I can - how dreadful will Peter Simon be presenting this?

Sounds like there will be a Funeral Cost PrePayment Plan on offer to me.
My late MiL took out a pre-paid funeral plan with the Co-op almost 20 years before she died. She was very specific in her choices because she had disapproved of so many previous family funerals.
When the day arrived that we had to "activate" it, the funeral director spent a good 15 minutes telling us how much more expensive it should have been and interrogating the newly bereaved Mr Nell about why he didn't want to upgrade his mother.
Shysters.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
My mother had one she had paid about £900 for years ago. I was convinced we would have to top it up when she died last year, but it was fine. The funeral people were lovely, no pressure like Mr Nell had and it included all sorts of things. It would have been around £5000 without the plan.
It's something I intend to deal with for myself later this year.
I can't stand PS he was on Gems for a while, gave me the creeps.
When the monster in law died, our local funeral directors were really good, and actively encouraged us to go for the cheapest coffin as she was being cremated.
