My brother's cat that was attacked by foxes and had her tail amputated some weeks ago played with her catnip mouse at the weekend - that's the first time since the op. She still won't venture outdoors on her own.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.

She is quite justifiably traumatised. I hope she gets her mojo back soon. She and Kirsty would make a scary combo !
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
It will probably take a while Nellie, she must still be very scared to venture out.
Boots had a minor scrap one evening in the dark when he was about 9 months old. He is 3 later this year and will go out in the evening but not for long, he stays in with me once I go to bed until it gets light.
I don't think I've ever seen a pure white cat, other than in pictures. I didn't know about the deafness either, or I may have done once but the memory isn't what it was! I hope Kirsty's leg heals properly, although I suspect she will manage regardless as she is obviously well looked after!
OK, didn't see page 2 - duh! Sounds like Nellie's brother's cat is going in the right direction - hope it makes a full recovery too.
Sadly Harvey is a fighter. Alf wasn't really but he would defend himself. Harve is a bruiser though. He definitely rules the neighbourhood and has a ripped ear to prove it. But he rarely comes off worst. I think he's just too big for most cats to take him on. As my neighbour said " if I was a cat I wouldn't tackle Harvey". He's a pudding really.
My Ex had to have his lovely all white cat Snowy put down recently, he developed cancer on his ears. Apparently, that is quite common with white cats to from laying in the sun.

Snowy
Aww. He was lovely.
My Uncle and Aunt had two cats - a White one called Snowy and a Black one called Sooty.
Now that the landlord has had the garden dug over, the cats scrape out a shallow depression in the soil and sit in it which keeps them nice and cool. I looked out just now and 3 of our cats plus Kirsty the garden cat with 2 of her kittens were all nestled down within touching distance of each other.
They all looked up at me and looked so cute and photogenic that I went to get the camera.
Out I came again, camera in hand. They waited until I had them in focus, then they all got up, turned their backs and walked away in different directions !
Ungrateful little sods, it's not much to ask them to pose once in a while...

Ashley has now been snipped but we are having real difficulty catching Mary and Kate. I actually had hold of Mary last week but she yelled blue murder, and wriggled free. As I wasn't expecting her to be there, I wasn't wearing my gauntlets and she scratched me quite badly.
We now have the loan of a trapping cage.We have taken the door off and keep chucking bits of food in there in the hope that they will get used to going in and out of it. When we first had it, before we took the door off, we trapped our Vassili twice, he's an idiot! The vet only does emergency ops at the weekend so we will set it up on Monday morning and see if we can manage to get one of the 'girls' but I don't think it will be easy as they are really nervous, not confident like their brother.
