Now see, I love it. Just up my street, all dark wood, leather sofas, masculine & welcoming to my eye. Somewhere to just flop, unwind and watch that fab TV.
Not my style at all. I don't particularly like leather sofas etc and I prefer a room where a TV isn't the first thing you see. I think the television also detracts from the brickwork as that appears to be a feature of the room. I'd also have something other than two pouffes on either side of the fire .... plants, maybe.
Ooh I like it. The only thing I am not keen on is the brick fireplace. Everything else is lovely. That TV would go down a treat with the men in this house.
I like the dark furniture and it's what I have now apart from the sofas. I'm planning to decorate and modernise a bit next year, but I'm finding it very hard to find much to my taste that isn't light oak, black or white.
I like the feature fireplace and the corner sofa but the rest of the furniture is too dark for me it makes the ceiling look low IYKWIM, not keen on the coffee table/ottoman thingy or as expected the large wall mounted TV (I do hope it's not Pinky's house......)
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
It's all over the place, modern brickwork alongside old looking bookcases, sunken ceiling lights around a central light fitting that looks like something my Nan had in 1972, nah, not keen.
Oh and three (3) cushions on that chair on the right.
I wouldn't have leather furniture in my house, but it looks okay in the context of the picture. A bit like a home library / large snug with sofas you can slop on, welcoming fire in the hearth and lots of interesting shelves with books etc. TV could be smaller, it still dominates, but I can't argue with the Yorkshire stone effect fireplace.....matches the outside stonework of our house!
