The only place I can get it in large bottles now is Asda, although I was lucky that a friend recently got me some in a cash-and-carry place (Costco?).
It removes all limescale from chrome taps, stainless steel sinks and glass without scratching or damaging anything; clears blocked sinks when combined with baking soda; cleans dishwashers and washing machines. Fab stuff.
You can buy it in any supermarket or food shop over here. In fact it used to be the only vinegar you could get here. Brown vinegar was not around when I used to come on holidays here when I was a child.
We are supposed to use it to descale our Tefal Quickcup thingy. It doesn't get done as often as it should cos we can't get the vinegar! In-town Tesco doesn't have it and getting to the other ones is tricky without a car! No Asda either.

I wonder why it's harder to get a hold off in some areas than others.
When I've been unable to get specific items in Tesco's I've gone to the Customer Service desk, they take the details, pass it onto head office who then contacted me with their findings, so perhaps you could try that?
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
