I'd never pay that amount for shoes or boots. In fact, I'd even think twice if they were £50, but that could be because I live in "shoe county" where the prices for footwear and handbags are considerably cheaper.
Years ago, dad used to visit the local shoe factories, when my parents came up to visit us, and I can remember his being dead chuffed because he bought two pairs of leather shoes for about £8 a pair (as I said ..... it was a long time ago) BUT the identical pair were £40 where my parents lived.
That's fortunate for you Toril but the rest of us would have to factor in travel and possibly accommodation to get your bargains so probably easier to pay the asking price.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.

Rossendale used to be a large manufacturing area for shoes etc. Now all we have left is Winfields and Boundary Mill. I’m with Nellie on the price as ,because of the ankle fusion, I have difficulty finding shoes that I can walk in so the price is immaterial, comfort first here. The first pair of Hotters I bought after the op are going strong, worth every penny.
I don't think it's an outrageous price for such boots. Footwear is much cheaper here, lots made in the leather factories in Turkey, but excellent quality, which is such a shame that they don't cater for Sam's big feet. There are a couple of Clarke's shops here but I think only expats shop there, and they don't sell larger sizes, either.Either way, I am happy to pay for shoes and boots if the quality is good.
It's a great pity the right of free speech isn't based on the obligation to say something sensible.
And the guest selling it is none other than the Revitalash lady! I laughed when I saw the gadget this morning. Somehow I can't see it being a bestseller!
If it’s as popular as all the LAB gadgets (which are a pile of expensive rubbish) then it will “bomb” and the QVC warehouse will be filled with returns.
I don’t understand why people are sucked it by these gadgets to halt the ageing process (hope I’m not offending anyone) but how you age is down to drinking plenty of water, staying out of the sun, not smoking so as not to get “lip lines” etc., etc., but the main reason is ...... genetics.
Ironing your face and body won’t take years off your appearance (imo.)
I looked like Methuselah's grandmother earlier this year but steroids have given me the typical moon face - plus a voracious appetite - so I've filled out again.

A big weight loss can also age people. My mum-in-law had a beautiful plump skin and looked way below her age until she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She was told to follow a suitable diet and lost weight and, although her diabetes was then under control, she looked really gaunt and looked older.
