Just took an hour out to watch this as I used to enjoy the show.
What a pile of shite! I like Clarkson, yes he's a Tory living the life in Chipping Norton, but I enjoyed his banter on Top Gear and thought his sacking was a bit ott. But his performance here was odious - smug arrogant jibes at contestants who only won a mere £8K, "that won't buy you three seats in your people carrier" etc, and otherwise making the contestants feel as uncomfortable as possible. It didn't work, he's not a game show host and to me the show died on it's arse. It's on all week, I like to try my luck with this but I don't know if I'll bother again.
Anyone else see it?
Edit: Oh and the questions were bloody hard, I'd have struggled to get a grand with some of them.

No, it wasn’t on my list to watch. Might have to have a look now you said it had hard questions to see if I know any answers @lewis.The attitude towards the contestants does not surprise me , the people who have brought it back will have done this on purpose to either make it or break it.
I actually think that his sacking from Top Gear was more than justified. For us mere mortals in proper jobs it would have been instant dismissal, so why not that smug sod as well. I can't bloody stand him to be honest
As Clarkson quipped Berry McPaper-cuts, "No idea, it's down to other drivers to stop."
Apologies for the personal smiley there.
Louise from Sunderland was a lot nicer, she wanted £16K for a new kitchen and bathroom, and a trip to Florida. Clarkson immediately got back to smug mode, "Not much of a kitchen for £16K", but was chuffed for her when she won her desired amount, as was I. I played her as she did and would have won the same.
