I do. You just hurl yourself over the beds, sofas whatever is in the way to get to the other side. Ignore the footprints on the floor directing your route. Love the meatballs. You can buy the sauce in packets downstairs near the till. I buy about 5 a time and mix them for whatever I fancy, not just meatballs. Their biscuits are fab too. And don't forget to stock up on their free tape measures & pencils.
but our nearest branch is at Lakeside shopping mall
Lakeside and Tottenham are more or less the same distance for us, Tottenham a little nearer. We generally prefer Tottenham. Don't know if it is bigger or laid out better but it doesn't seem quite as stressful as Lakeside! At least it wasn't last time I went.
I'm with M, I love Ikea - especially the meatballs and Daim bars!
We occasionally wander round IKEA when I'm Ooop North and I have bought a couple of small items for the house from there.
What gets me is the arrows on the floor and the suggestion that we should follow them - or else. 😳 I think we've become a couple of rebels because we dart all over the place and ignore the arrows. 😉 It also means that we avoid the "trundlers" with the trolleys. 👍
Wish I'd remembered this thread before wasting an entire afternoon looking online for storage chests. Found the perfect thing on the Ikea website - cost of three, plus lids, plus locking devices = £32. Cost of P&P = £39.
WTAF, as the young folk say. Scandinavian shysters.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Young Itchy1 wanted a desk for Christmas and sent me the link for the one he liked in Ikea. As hell will freeze over before I set foot in there again the easiest thing was to get him a voucher online. It was surprisingly easy to do, then the sting...…€10 p&p. For a gift card!
Young Itchy was happy though. He lives in Dublin so it will be easy for him to nip over there and pick it up.
I have just spoken to Son and he got his desk the other day. He is happy with it. His OH bought a bookcase when they were there and she is very happy. I don't doubt they have nice things but I won't be going there to have a look.
