New from Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy Cologne Intense. They write "The sweet, decadent fragrance is inspired by the great scarlet poppy in the steppes of Asia. Its base of heliotrope, barley and tonka bean — with accents of vanilla, almond and tobacco — complements the heart of scarlet poppy, fig and iris and top notes of ambrette. It’s a winning combination that could well see it usurp Pomegranate Noir and Lime Basil & Mandarin as Jo Malone’s top-selling cologne."
"tobacco" you say ... At £134 for 100ml I'm going to have to wait for it to be cloned.

I can't seem to smell my fragrance anymore. Nose blind? Is there such a condition or is it made up by the ad men? I checked and there is such as thing -
Nose blindness is a temporary, naturally occurring adaptation of your body that leads to an inability to detect or distinguish common scents in your surroundings. It's sometimes also referred to as olfactory fatigue or olfactory adaptation. Nose blindness is often associated with areas where we spend a lot of time.
If it's just temporary then you could use another perfume in the meantime.
I received a little sample of Jo Malone's Lime, Basil and Mandarin perfume- I'd only ever smelt it as a reed diffuser and handwash before - and decided to use vouchers I'd received for my BIG birthday last year to buy a bottle. £110
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.

I sampled Liz Earle Botanical Essence No. 1 when it was launched a few years ago. Not particularly impressed, but when it calmed down it was not too offensive. I sampled it again last week and all I could get from it was a smell that reminded me of soap. Have they changed this too?
