Do you remember them from Le Q? I had about 5 of them and over the years the teeth have broken from where I have rammed the comb into my hair. They are the best for a person with chin length fine hair to get it back off your face , a scrunchy just falls out. The last stylee bit the dust last week and I have been struggling to find a replacement. Yeehah, ebay have a stylee shop! Just ordered one.
They were two hair combs with sort of stretchy ribbon in between, two or three strands of it. You shoved one side of your hair up with one comb, stretched it over, pulling a ponytail through and then shoved the other comb in on t'other side. Any the wiser?
I had a couple of them but the combs broke on one and I think the elastic went on the other. Got a similar thing from eBay recently though - beaded rather than velvet or ribbon - and about three days later had my hair cut and layered so they are sitting gathering dust now! It'll grow so they'll get used eventually assuming I can find them by then!
I like those. Really easy for an up do. Great to keep in the car for a roof down moment. I have one or two about the place. Although my hair is a bit longer these days so I can tie it up easily if I need too.
I had several but, one-by-one, they disappeared after visits by daughters. I found them uncomfortable and difficult to put in - a mixture of fine hair and my own cackhandedness. Nellie sent me a doodah which is easier, and quite elegant but now my hair is shoulder length, I can use a big clasp.
I really hate having my hair up but this weather, it's a choice between that or having hair clinging wetly to the back of my neck.

Not wishing to reveal my fruitcase status I am trying to help my balance by stimulating the hippocampus through an elecrical stimulus at the base of the ear by means of a thingy which you place behind each ear. This won’t stay in place unless your hair is out of the way and the area is clear of grips, clips, headbands etc. The stylee is the only thing I have found that will keep my shortish fine hair out of the way.
