My complaint - their curries. Once not quite authentic but pretty damn good all the same, now borderline revolting. Two weeks ago I tried the Chicken Vindaloo, it should be searingly hot and spicy, it turned out sweet and barely a Bhuna. Tonight I decided on a Beef Madras, one that previously was their masterpiece. It was fecking horrible! Chewy bits of whatever meat they call beef mixed with a sauce that's beyond description, the odd bit of heat but a taste I've never experienced before and never want to again.
I believe "poppety pongs" are not unknown to forum members here, so your thoughts please?
I've never tried them, but I would definitely let them know, it may have been a dodgy batch or something. You will probably get a refund or voucher to buy another. Don't forget to add the code on the packaging?
My next door neighbours have bought all their Christmas food from them - doesn’t bode well.
We've had their Chinese and Indian selections before for Xmas, and they've been fine, not sure I'd risk it now. They do a fantastic range of kangaroo and crocodile delicacies making me think they're trying too hard.
I expect it's not a straightforward thing to change processes quickly. If they've had a lot of complaints, expect to see "New Improved recipe" on the box in a few months lol!
This week has been draining as you can imagine. I rarely buy meals to ding but I did this week. From M&S. the sweet chilli chicken was really really good. I’ve got a butter chicken but I’ve stucj that in the freezer.
