Today is Blue Monday, officially the most depressing day of the year due to the dark nights, cold weather, the post Xmas return to work, and other general miserableism.
I can understand why people might feel "blue" though ...... credit card bills after Xmas, dry January, dark nights, cold weather etc etc, but I suppose I'm lucky because I don't drink, so every month is dry, I have never been in debt (I have a credit card but have never used it,) I don't mind dark nights (although the electricity bills are cheaper in the summer) and I don't mind the cold. 😳
And, although I know that I have the luxury of not having to work, I always felt OK when I wasn't supposed to. However, my friend uses a SAD lamp, but not just on Blue Monday, so I think the feeling of "being down" is seasonal, rather than limited to a single day.
I’m broke that much I do know but I’m not blue. And as Mr Tink points out my version of broke means there’s not much in my current accounts because I’ve paid all my bills.
I get the additional whack of paying my annual personal tax bill in January. My corporation tax on the 1st February and this quarters’s VAT on the 7th February.
I’ve also booked my holiday flights, the car rental and the villa. Paid Harvey’s whopping great vet’s bill ... most of which will be claimed back ... and I’m paying for the decorators.

Mr FP is often very grumpy during the Winter as most of his hobbies involve the great outdoors. If the weather stops him going outside I have to deal with the fallout. He hasn’t got the patience to sit with a SAD light for the required amount of time each day and will not take Vitamin D tablets.During the winter months it is difficult to get the required 30 minutes of exposure outside to Vitamin D so I do take a tablet. The upside is Mr FP is eager to take winter holidays - we are off again next week.

Hopefully @tinkerbelle. Due to arthur I prefer shorter flights so to find the sun it will be The Canaries again. Gran Canaria this time - a while since we visited this one. The resort is Meloneras.
Headphones are essential for this, and an acid tab.
8D Audio is an illusion that is made is by mismatching audio on the left and right side to fade in and out of a clone of it, then when heard it sounds like its spinning around the room with you.
