I don’t have those either. I stick with steam, soap and water on the whole. I got some of those new e-cloths but I am having to keep them away from Mr FP as he will not follow the looking after instructions on any kind of cloth , never mind these. He has , dare I say, different standards of hygiene to me , which 43 years of remedial work have not been able to change. I blame his mother as both my two are fine.
There are so many chemicals in everything we buy these days, from food and clothing, cosmetics, cleaning products etc, I can't be bothered to worry about it anymore. I only use so-called pure soap & water on my face, mineral make-up if I'm going out, hemp hand/face cream. The only thing that may be full of nasties is Gatineau Gommage, and I'm not giving that up.
Hair products are probably a worry, especial hairspray. I spray holding my breath and move away quickly otherwise I'm coughing for ages.
'Frighteningly dangerous': Essential oils guide is SLAMMED online after advising people that the products can help with serious issues like suicidal thoughts and SEXUAL ABUSE
A lot of these are 'may' do this and 'may' do that. If you feed three thousand times the normal dose to a rat it 'may' die. Some of it may be true but some is just designed to scare.
I can't be worrying about all this when I have real concerns to worry about and it's bad enough checking everything for what I know I'm allergic to without worrying about what I might react to. If it irritates my skin I'll stop using it, if it makes me cough I'll stop spraying it and so on. I have very sensitive skin but I am usually better with the cheap stuff than the expensive ones - go figure! I know I'm allergic to soap so SLS it is then!
As for claims made on behalf of oils and so on, don't get me started!
I'm off to buy some crystals to balance my chakras.
Ann-Marie Hyde could not see for two days when her eyes swelled to the 'size of golf balls,' just hours after she coloured her hair using a popular beauty product.
The 30-year-old from Coalville, Leicestershire, claims to have been using the product for 10 years but, on this occasion, was left needing emergency medical treatment.
