Nellie is not fond of getting glue on herself so I thought I would share this idea I had as there is usually some wet glue in anything we crafters make. I saw this transparent plastic rectangle that sits on top of your hand that is supposed to be for applying makeup. I thought that would be ideal for applying glue instead of having to spread the glue on the back of your hand and peel it off when it is dry you can use this make up thingy. Anyway it works. It’s called the Makeup Hand Palette.
It's a good idea - though I would never put glue on the back of my hand anyway. I have seen many crafters do it during demonstrations and it always makes me shudder. I rarely use glue, anything I do seems to be covered by the use of double-sided tape or sticky dots.In fact, I have just realised that I don't own any apart from the silicone stuff for decoupage.

Now that is the one glue I never seem to have! I bought a couple of tubes of Pinflair when I first started crafting but both dried up because I didn’t screw the top on properly.
Even when you do screw the top on properly they seem to get air in. My trick is to make a little collar from blu-tak and press it well around the neck of the tube - works like a charm.

Mr FP has that too lily . I was suckered into buying some whizzy American stuff from Hochanda that used light to cure it but it was useless.
Good tip cassandra . Which is better Pinflair or the CC one?
No idea, FP, can't remember what I used in U.K. but here I buy a silicone glue from our local Home Bargains alike. It is great for decoupage as it is colourless and doesn't lose it's shape as it dries. I also get my DS tape from there, it costs 1 euro a roll and lasts for ages.

I LOVE spreading glue on the back of my hand and peeling it off! Doesn't bother me at all. I do have some tiny applicator brushes that are meant for false eyelash glue and they work quite well but I usually use my hand. I never use sticky dots as I have had too many things fall off cards when using them. Useless things.
For 3D glue I use either Collall or Pinflair. Whichever is cheapest when I need some!

GlueJul 1, 2019 20:23:47 GMTYorko and lily like this
Gloy glue. Those were the days. Life was simpler then, just paste and a paintbrush.
I've been trying to mount some pictures on backing paper and I've had some very mixed results. It all seems to be just fine and dandy until I press the last clip down on the back of the picture frame and something happens in those seconds before I look at my finished handiwork. I tried to convince Himself that the one image was straight and he was the one listing to one side, but he'd have none of it. I've tried folding over sellotape so that it becomes sticky both sides with some success I've tried spray glue and everything was tacky for yards around the kitchen table I am not allowed anywhere near superglue or Gorilla glue after an unfortunate incident
So crafters, best glue for fixing pictures to backing paper.

You need a wet glue to give you wiggle room but not too much as it will bubble. If you wanted a 3D effect you can use the foam tape off a roll but put some wet glue on the bit that is contact with your back plate. I like Dawn Bibby’s glue.
