Certainly more watchable than Jordskott! I would not like to live in such a snowy place. That police station was a dreadful hole.Winter became a more sympathetic character. Some jarring parts as Winter with his mother and Ella with her Dad, very contrived. I never worked out Winter’s back story.

There was a disagreement here as I think he survived and Mr FP thinks he died.

It was announced back in February 2019 that Der Pass would, in fact, be getting a second series.
As things stand though, there is no word on when Der Pass will be returning to Sky Atlantic here in the UK but with the series originating in Germany back in January 2019, it will undoubtedly return to screens there first before eventually heading to the UK. ’
Exactly on the German-Austrian border a cruelly prepared corpse is found. Both countries then take up the investigation: While sent from Germany, the still ingenuous policewoman Ellie Stocker (Julia Jentsch), is entrusted by the Austrian side of the disillusioned Gedeon Winter (Nicholas Ofczarek) with the case. When, a little later, even more symbolically staged corpses appear, the two unequal investigators are trying hard to decode the enigmatic motivation of the killer to put an end to his murderous activities.
New series production of Sky Deutschland, in which Cyril Boss and Philipp Stennert ("News from the Wixxer", "Jerry Cotton") are responsible for the direction and script. The format was inspired by the Danish-Swedish series "The Bridge - Transit to Death".
