There was a heavy frost here this morning, but it’s cleared now and the sun’s out. I’m hoping it’ll be fine weather Ooop North too as I’m winging my way back up there this afternoon.
I don't like driving in sun in winter when the sun is so low, doesn't help that I have never had a car with a deep enough sun shield. I've taped an extra strip on the drivers side, but even that is not deep enough sometimes.
It was direct sunlight dazzling her vision that led a friend of mine to discover she had cataracts.
Yes, bright sunlight especially as now when it's low in the sky can dazzle more than usual with cataracts, see also those bloody high intensity LED headlihgts that are all the rage at the moment.
Edit: It seems to have also affected my quoting ability.
I don't know anyone who doesn't complain about these LED headlights, they are the main reason I don't drive much at night now. I'm sure I read or heard something last year about the matter was going to be being looked at due to the number of complaints.
They're a real nuisance, I heard the government were looking into the problem but so many cars have them and even if they stopped any more new ones being fitted I can't see much if anything being done about the one's already on the road
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
If there was legislation, car makers would have to recall existing for replacement maybe, like they have to do with numerous other things, faulty airbags etc.
