I'm a side sleeper & find one pillow is too flat and two pillows slide all over the place. Last night I used two fairly soft feather & down pillows pushed into a single pillowcase and slept really well so this morning I've been reading up on pillows www.which.co.uk/reviews/pillows/article/choosing-the-best-type-of-pillow but the article won't show me the next stage - the best makes. Any suggestions?
Ooops just realised that although the article is visible the brands aren't, I guess they want you to sign up to view them! Perhaps some who is already a member can post them?

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
It's very difficult to recommend pillows, as they are the requirements for each person is different. I love memory foam, but they are a bit marmite. I found getting the right support with comfort tricky with memory foam. For years I have been buying a Putnams, it has a recess for your ear and fits into your shoulders. However, as I need a new one around every 3 years, it gets a bit expensive.
I'm thinking of going back to a Dunlopillo next time, they did last longer and have probably been improved comfort-wise since I last had one. I particularly like the sound of the slimmer version in the link below, I only like one pillow and find most of them too deep.
I've only slept on a memory foam pillow once & I've no idea what make/ type it was, but I didn't like it and hardly slept. It was hard and hot. A bit of a harsh judgement maybe after just the one night and perhaps a few more nights might have changed my mind. Himself likes feather/down pillows and that's what I've bought him for years. I find despite what the label states, they do not wash well so I change them every two years and it's coming up to that time now. The last lot were a bit too soft for me. I thought I'd cracked it with a synthetic pillow from Lidl a while back but it went to the tip after 6 months. QVC had a few that pricked my interest. I would have liked to have tried some & of course there's the bonus of returning them if you don't like them, but they've sold out.
It's a tiresome process that rarely results in the desired effect, I find.
I've bought pillows from QVC for that very reason Liv and they were OK - Northern Nights I believe but I can't find them now. I see they have a Blue Tooth pillow in stock though.......WTF!
I'm sure you've already been there but Dunelm have a great choice of pillows and, if it's a quiet day, you can spend ages squeezing and squishing them in an attempt to replicate a restless night.
I asked the assistant to show me the fattest pillow they had & that was the result. She even suggested I took the one on display and had a little lie down on one of the beds. I did! I started a trend too as another couple took their choice & had a little lie down lol
Hope this is the one Liv - although it does say for back sleepers...........
It does, but one site I visited said there was little if any difference between back & side pillows and "To try them out." Well I did that.
I might go for a little nap -in the interest of science you understand. I might not get the full effect until the larger size gubbins arrive as I've squished this pillow into one of my pillowcases.
