I used to buy quite a lot of diamonique things in the past, but as I’m now bedecked in jewellery, including a white gold solitaire ring, thanks to Him North I no longer buy it.
I’m wondering whether to sell the numerous diamonique rings etc that I’ve got because I’ll no longer wear them.
Most of mine is now surplus to requirements, including a lot of rings that I bought in jewellers’. I think I must have had a ring fetish at one time. 😳 I just want to shift them all, as I won’t wear them again, but am not sure where the best place to sell them would be. They’re all silver.
I've never sold anything on eBay but I imagine that would be your best bet. A jeweller will only pay you for the weight of the silver, nothing for the stones, even gemstones, and anything you sell at auction incurs their percentage.
How about trying on here or any other forums you belong to?
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
I sold copies of the book I wrote about Gromit on eBay, but that was years ago and I can’t remember how to be a seller now, lol. I just buy from eBay nowadays.
Well, if anyone wants any rings (size M or size N) I'll post a selection of them here. Many of them are the halo design - a main stone with smaller “diamonds round the edge. Quite a few are 5 stone rings but, because of my preferred style, none of them are huge like a cocktail ring would be, I’ve also got some quite delicate single stone diamonique pendants and the chain they go on.
I only belong to two other forums and I wouldn’t feel comfortable posting them on there.
Failing that, I could take them to a jeweller to see what I’d get for the silver I suppose. If I had a daughter, I’d pass them onto her, but I don’t think my son is “into” sparkly things.
Nellie ,The photos don’t do the rings justice (or the photographer doesn’t) but these are a few that I grabbed this morning. Having tidied up the cupboard last week, the two jewellery boxes that contain 99% of the other rings are not where they used to be, so that’s another job to do - find where I put them. 😳 If I can locate them, then I’ll post another photo as a lot of those are the “halo” ones.
Apologies for the mock up display tray 🙄. The ring that’s on its own is my grandmother’s diamond and ruby ring, but obviously I won’t be selling that one. You need to click on the image. 😉
I especially like the bottom one on the middle row - what a shame you don't have fat fingers . I also have the one above that too, I bought it last year when my fingers were so swollen I couldn't wear my wedding snd engagements rings.
Nellie,Thanks, Nellie. That’s about 1/10th of the number that I have. As I said earlier, I think I must have had a ring fetish.
The ruby and diamond ring is actually better in the flesh and is beautiful, but I’ve never worn it although it does fit. I suppose I should get it valued really as rubies are usually pinker nowadays, whereas in Victorian times they were the deep red like those in that ring,
I cannot lay my hands (or eyes) on the other two jewellery boxes yet. How on earth I can mislay two large boxes heaven only knows, but I hope I can locate them soon as they also contain my wedding and engagement rings and, although I’m divorced, I would hate to lose those. No doubt tomorrow’s “job to do” will be emptying the cupboards out again, 😳 Still, it passes the time.
I found the missing jewellery boxes. Neatly put away in a storage box in the cupboard I cleared out last week. 🙄 I’ll post photos of some of the ones I’ve found. I won’t post all of them because the stash is a little embarrassing to say the least, especially as I don’t have that number of fingers. 😳
