It’s probably just me, but I think the Christmas adverts are getting worse. The Asda one is awful and, although I usually like the Kevin ones, I didn’t enjoy this year’s effort from Aldi.
It’s no wonder that I record programmes so I can fast forward through the adverts.
I know it’s covering an important message/topic but I wouldn’t class it as a Christmas advert. I wonder if they’ll also do another one, akin to their previous ones.
I've always cringed at the amount of excess food shown in Christmas adverts in normal times, especially when it's a well known fact that huge amounts are thrown away because people bought too much. People on limited budgets haven't just appeared in the last 12 months.
