A couple of months back we were trying the reverse hairwashing but today I have seen this in the papers. Where does the tangle teezer thingy fit into this regime or should you just use a comb in the shower? So if you don't use a comb after the shower do you just finger dry to get your style? Lots of unanswered questions.
I found the reverse hair washing didn't work so well after a while so I went back to normal washing but remembering to rinse much more thoroughly than I used to.
I don't towel dry as such. Just whack my hair up in a towel turban then blast it almost dry before running a brush through it and finishing with the Babyliss Big Hair.
If I leave mine to dry naturally I look like an 80s hair rock band wannabee with a half grown out shaggy perm. It ain't a good look.

A few weeks ago we were being told that we wash our hair too often. Such is the Daily Fail.
I think what they are saying Flying Pigs is that you should only comb your hair (with a wide-toothed comb) while the conditioner is coating your hair to avoid damage and not after you've finished your routine & stepped out of the shower. That's how I read it anyway.
Washing hair is not good is it? The more you wash it the greasier it gets or the more it needs washing. I wash mine twice a week.
I'm inclined to agree with that ^ Apollo's Frock, but each to their own. My hair is baby fine & if I washed it everyday I would look like a dandelion seed head all of the time. I leave it as long as possible & use dry shampoo in-between washes. 29 washes her hair every day, 24 every 3 days on average. Guess which one has the better head of hair. Could be down to the gene pool of course, but I'm not so sure.
When the reverse hair washing thing started I asked my hairdresser if she had heard of it and why she thought it would make a difference and she said that it was most likely because the conditioner wasn't being left in the hair. She always advises people to rinse their hair for far longer than they think they ought.
I used to wash mine every two or three days. With reverse hair washing I could only stretch that out to every three or four days. Now I'm back to normal washing and rinsing the bejaysus out of it after conditioner and I wash every three or four days.
Being a dark brunette, dry shampoo isn't really an option other than in an emergency. It gets rid of the greasy roots but makes my hair powdery and flat looking even if I use one for brunettes.
I've got baby fine hair but there is masses of the stuff. And I don't use styling products either really. One because I hate the feel and two because I can get root lift just by drying it with the Babyliss Big Hair thing.
I usually wash my hair once a week. I wrap it in a cheap version of that Turbie twist thing and then dry it with a hair dryer. If I left it to dry naturally it would end up wavy.
Mind you ................. washing my hair would be luxury at the moment as I've been unable to do it for 3 weeks (although it looks no worse that it does after a week.) So ............ on Sunday, my son is coming to blunt the ends and will then stay in the bathroom while I hang over the bath to do it with the shower. At least then there'll be someone to grab me if I lose my balance and pitch head first into the bath.
