Oh that's irritating Snarly. I keep a long and a short bamboo cane in the airing cupboard. Marvellous for wiggling underneath things to retrieve whatever has gone under.
Yesterday I lost the top of my vitamin pill pot under the dressing table. Off for the bamboo cane. Managed to winkle the top out ... only for Alf to spot the damned thing flying across the carpet and knock it right back under!!
I use the broom handle or a back scratcher to get things out of narrow spaces and find the long handled tongs a godsend I use them to get things from the higher shelves in the kitchen cabinets and my tip for when your window has opened too far for you to reach the handle when you want to close it is to loop the ring end over the catch and pull it closed!
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong

I find it hard to move the bed nowadays- it has storage drawers which make it heavy. I write a list of the things that might have fallen under it like earring backs, pens etc for the weekly turn out when I pull it out. I have found that if I grab it via an open drawer I can move a greater distance.
