This will be the third time I have attempted Shimelle's 'Journal Your Christmas' and I am hoping to achieve more this year . In 2012 I didn't do too badly although I didn't finish it I had fun. 2013 was a bit of a disaster. I had got a lot of stuff ready, made the album, made a front cover , was ready for it. On December 2nd my Mum was taken ill and Christmas was a nightmare for the whole of my family. This year I am going to take it slowly and do what I can. It will be a tribute, I hope, to all the special Christmases she made for us. I am going to make my album tomorrow and it is going to be small - 8x8 or even 6x6. My first entry will be about the lovely Ashley in his Father Christmas outfit who made my day today.

It's a fab idea Y. Shimelle is an American crafter who lives in London. Her crafting is inspirational. Every day you get a prompt for that day. She is doing a video everyday this time as well. Photographs are a big part of it too. Recipes, family traditions... it is a good way to get in the Christmas mood and although it offers ideas for every day, you don't have to. A lovely memory to look back on in future years.
Not the same thing, but we have decided to make an album for the Coglet for Christmas. Lots of his baby photos are starting to fade, so we thought we better get it done before they're gone forever. Mr Cog purchased a Groupon deal, where you upload photos and make an album, so we have been sorting through all the old albums to pick out the photos we'll use. We have no photos of me as a baby, and the few that exist of me as a child are the school photo type.
It's been fun looking back at all the places we've visited and remembering all the great times we had.
