I don't suppose anyone else watched it but the program on beeby 2 last night on Barry Sheene was really good. He was stark staring bonkers on a bike. And still holds the record for the fastest average lap speed in a GP race. At 135mph!!
Loved him in my youth. Saw him race a few times but mainly in trucks towards the end of his career.
It was so good I could even forgive Vic Reeves as presenter.

I used to fancy the....socks off Barry Sheene in my youth.
Barry Sheene was awesome - on a bike and to look at!! I wonder if the prog is on catch-up? I'd never get to watch it in the evening, but no-one is going to complain if I watch it in the mornings cos they won't be up!! zzz
Still haven't managed to catch up with the Dr Who special that I slept through. I must try and remember to watch it before it gets deleted!
Two great films on tomorrow. Eight Below on BBC1 at 10.15 am, have lots of tissues handy, and on BBC2 at 8.30 pm, The Help, a really good story. I can highly recommend both.
