Keeping the boys out is more trouble than its worth. They sit outside the door and yodel. Harvey throws himself at the door trying to open it too. So if I'm really lucky I get crashing and banging accompanied by ear splitting wailing.
Harvey likes to sleep on my side or next to my side, sometimes under the quilt but Alf always sleeps on my feet. He does come for a chat but never for long. Its like wearing fur lined lead boots. But he will not let my feet escape.
I like being aware the cats are snuggled up during the night. They only come when it's cold, Millie at the end of the end of the bed and Boots tucked in tight up against me.
My two are pretty consistent summer and winter although they are likely to spend more time on the bed with me when its cold. Its very rare I don't have them at all.
It used to be the only time Harvey would curl up with me so it was really special but he's braver now and sits on my lap.
