I'm in deep doh-dah now. Meg came to see what I was looking at & flipped! I had to tell her I was just looking. No, we are not having house guests. Yes, she's the best.
Mind, you could buy a car in the Valleys for the price of one of those kittens Yorko LOL I've only ever bought one cat & that was Howell, £3 in Cardiff Market. All the others have knocked on the patio doors to be let in.
Originally named Tikka, she belonged to a neighbour's relative lily. When they had a baby they gave her to our neighbour. Unfortunately, their 5 year old daughter was very rough with Tikka & I found the child playing outside, carrying Tikka by the neck. I relieved the child of the cat & knocked on my neighbour's door to tell her what I'd witnessed. Before you could say knife this cat was hanging around our house, begging to come in. She was always starving. It gets a bit involved from here on, but to cut a story short, they moved and we had the cat. We knew nothing about her so I took her to the vet who reckoned she was about 14 weeks old. We got her vaccinated & wormed and my children renamed her.

No wonder she idolises you ( sort of) Mim. It's hard to imagine her as Tikka - TS Elliot would approve of her new name. Our Boris was originally Norris , after the one on Corrie I presume, but being the spit of Mr Johnson and having the same flamboyant nature he was definitely a Boris.
lol Alf would be happy to see the back of Harvey most of the time but I'm sure he would miss someone to fight with really.
When we first had them there was the possibility that Alf had feline AIDS and the vet suggested that if that was the case I should give Harvey up for his own good. Alf doesn't have it but I decided against giving up Harvey. My theory was if Alf had it, he would certainly have shared it with Harvey by then so there was no point. In reality I couldn't have given him up. I adore Alf but Harvey is also my boy. He and I have a bond that he just doesn't have with anyone else.
I can't give him up but the breed gets a massive from me and I would choose them over a Maine Coon largely because of their gentle nature and pixie faces.

Sounds like the story of my mum's cat when she came to live with us, neglected and unloved by the neighbours she was always round our house. They were so dopey they thought it was a male kitten and called it Timmy. And Timmy she remained for the rest of her life!
