You think? Probably. It's a shame because this could be genuine. I'm sorry, but I don't believe you. And if people are aware of Sport Relief I'm sure they will donate £2 but not by clicking to download an app.
Phonecall 9ish last night , a recorded voice, if you have over £5000 worth of debts... stupidly I put the phone down immediately but next time I want to listen to the whole spiel and then report them as I am sure this cannot be legal. Caller withheld their number so no clue there.
Good one just now from a company calling itself Virgo."Perhaps you will remember a colleague calling you a couple of years ago Ma'am?" "No you didn't because that's my star sign and I would have remembered." " I apologise Ma'am, I must have the wrong information. We are carrying out work in Bloggs Road ( correct identification of address) ..." " No you are not, you have called me Ma'am and no one in the UK would address me in such a way , you are American". " Well, yes I am". " So you are a scammer?" He then started bleating as I then told him never to ring again and what he could do with himself. True to form the phone rang again about a minute later as I had successfully pushed his buttons but I just let the answer machine kick in.
Just looked Virgo up and interestingly on a review site in answer to a complaint about cold calling a person claiming to be the manager said that he had installed a system to insure TPS registered phones did not receive cold calls from the company. It's obviously not working. I will be reporting the call as the caller did leave a number!
