Ah now what I mean by white pudding may be different to what is meant elsewhere by white pudding. Its really just a dense, spiced sausage. Also known locally (Devon and Cornwall) as hog's pudding. You buy it cooked from the butcher and can either slice it and eat it as it is or fry/grill it.
Now you're talking bach! Never had it for breakfast, we always had it for dinner with sausages and mash. I can only eat a small portion...despite being told thousands of times "how good it is for you".
Himself, a northerner, loves the stuff and has been known to buy tinned laverbread and bring it home with him!
