I'm disappointed at Klopp's attitude towards the FA Cup 4th round replay against Shrewsbury - he's insisted he and the first team will not be there, and will send out "the kids" as he did when they lost 5-0 to Villa in the Carabao Cup.
His complaint is that it will eat into their promised winter break - but it will still allow them 11 days off, just not the full 14. These are supposed to be athletes, surely an 11 day break would be ample recovery time, and given their wages it's all the more disgusting. As one commentator pointed out the other day, in his day they wanted to play ALL the cup matches regardless of the schedule. If Klopp was so worried about the fixture log, why didn't he put out a stronger team against Shrewsbury yesterday, or why did the team he did play sit back at 2-0 up? Arrogance is the only reason I can see and it backfired. So now fans will sit out a difficult re-match, and tbh I hope Shrewsbury clinch it. Sadly though I reckon Liverpool will scrape through. It's a shame because I was happily looking forward to them winning the league even at Leicester's expense, but my support of Klopp and the team has dropped quite a bit over this.
