Not surprising given it will destroy the Premier League and have a knock on effect with all the English leagues (and European ones). The whole idea is based on greed from boards of directors who know nothing about the game, only the finances and profits.
I've been out all day and not kept up to date, but I'll keep us posted with any important developements. Most I've spoken to are up in arms over it all.
Manchester United match delayed after fans invade Old Trafford pitch and stage anti-Glazer protest Hundreds broke down barriers and poured on to the pitch, setting off flares and climbing goalposts.
Bloody idiots. No one likes the Glazers, they're money grabbing shysters with no interest in the club other than lining their own pockets, but the business with the Super League has been dropped at least for now, so a peaceful protest outside the stadium was all that was required.
I'd like to see Man Utd have points deducted over this, enough points to see them ousted from next season's Champions League. That would upset the bank balance.
relegated from the Football League for the first time
From the top four tiers yes, but they'll drop down to the National League. There's a chance they'll play against our next door neighbour's grandson (druggy twot's brother) who plays for either Hartlepool or Stockport County, not sure which and also depends on whether they get promoted.
My home team, Southend United, has been relegated from the Football League for the first time in 101 years. Apparently, the chairman is a complete shyster and the fans are not happy.
Oh dear Nellie I didn't think Phil Brown could save them when he was brought back as Manager a few weeks ago.
I have a framed photo on display here of myself and Phil taken when he was Manager of Hull and they played a friendly (not so friendly) with Galway Utd.
