I gave up when my eyes glazed over. Was it Karin Herzog that used to flog oxygen based products on one of the Shopping Channels?
I remember the shows on Q FP. According to AY it was the best thing since sliced bread. That was until the next big thing came along of course. The girl who used to present the brand (can't remember her name) then presented Gayle Hayman on Q.

Well remembered Itchy. Did she also present that Italian brand that used to come in unusual containers? I can't remember the brand- probably LG's original artisans baking away.

Yes that's the brand I was thinking of- they put the makeup in butterfly shaped cases.Looks like they are still going without the fancy cases and are based in Milan.
I don't use any of the 'premium' brands to cleanse my skin and I'm pretty ignorant with regards to all this beauty malarkey, but I'd have thought that cleansing twice would strip the skin of its natural oils etc. Maybe that's why they then encourage you to slap on the face creams afterwards.
I use Micellar water (Garnier) to remove my make up and it does as good a job as all these other products, in my opinion. And like FP, my skin is in pretty good nick without using the expensive products.
And, as an aside, I'd never heard of Decleor, Gatineau, Elemis etc etc until I got Freeview, so that probably shows my ignorance.

I had never heard of them either Toril. That was the problem with being introduced to QVC. I then wanted to experience these 'wonderful' results that only mega expensive brands can give you. I was an ideal customer for them. Of course they didn't deliver what they promised and I wasted a lot of money.
In time I got wiser but obviously there are a lot of people like me. I think beauty is QVC's biggest earner and there are millions of customers who hang on every word of the various reps and of course HRH Madam Young. I have got twitter now and although I have never tweeted anyone, some of the tweets I read to presenters like Claire Sutton would make you want to vomit! Then I get the re-tweeted ones from AY, or rather her puppy dog Will Gowing cos she can't do it! Funny!
