I had mine whitened (dentists kit) after the brace came off and that did a great job, came free with the treatment and took them up about 6 shades.
Tea soon stains them though and the Pearl Drops got them back to that stage in a few of days. Not sure how much whiter they will be with the toothpaste alone but they can only look better really

There's a new one in a red tube that works in 5 days which I am using but can't remember the name- I will look when I brush my teeth in the morning. I have noticed a difference.

Thanks FP. Let me know.
26's girlfriend is a dentist and they obviously do whitening in her surgery. They charge a nice sum too. 26 had his done (for nothing). I know if I made an appointment with her she would do them free but I don't want to put her in that position because I am his Mother.
There can be a problems with some of whitening toothpastes etc if you have sensitive teeth it can make it worse. I used to use Sensodyne but my dentist suggested I try Colgate Pro Relief Whitening, I had problems finding anywhere local that stocked it and eventually managed to get it in a Sainsburys Superstore
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong

Yes, I forgot that DD. After 26 had his done, he was using some special toothpaste (I can't remember the name) that his girlfriend gave him from the surgery.
It is big business however. 26's beloved says they do a lot of whitening, especially as the economy is picking up slightly over here and people have a bit more money. I would love to have it done.
Itchy I asked my dentist about whitening my teeth but he advised against it would you believe!! Largely because my teeth are quite sensitive and in his opinion they were already a natural white rather than a bleached white so basically he didn't think it would be an improvement. He suggested Sensodyne whitening toothpaste for me but said the best one was WhiteGlo.
Oh and he also said to avoid tea, coffee and red wine. Or if I did drink them to clean my teeth afterwards. Easy I said, I don't drink any of them. That'll be why your teeth are still white he said )

So you give up life's little pleasures or you have white teeth Itchy! I can't see the name on the tube yet as I am on the exposing my operation scars to the elements hour before booting up again.
Personally I'm not a fan of the 'Hollywood' over whitened teeth look especially when teamed up with an orange fake tan, but each to their own. I wouldn't have minded being able to lighten them a few shades but remaining a natural look but my teeth are extremely sensitive so I couldn't do it, also I have two crowns which were obviously matched to my own teeth colour and they'd look extremely odd if I did
