I'm not drinking water from my water bottle at the moment, that's for sure. I normally wash it out with hot, soapy water and refill it first thing in the morning but was a bit later today. As it was a lot later I could see what I was doing better and discovered brown slime and black spots in the lid in areas that are impossible to get a brush or sponge into!! Ok not much, but any is gross.
How the heck are you supposed to clean it then? It says it is dishwasher safe but the lid is so small it would just get blasted around and not necessarily get water where it was needed. Until I can figure out an alternative I'm afraid I am buying bottled.
Yes, I thought about Milton and metal bottles. I shall investigate. Cotton buds, tooth brushes etc are still too big to reach some bits of that particular bottle, unfortunately. Kitchen roll wrapped round things might work but, to be honest, if it requires that much faffing around I can't be doing with it and the water drinking will lapse! If it's any more than a quick wash and fill it won't get done - not laziness so much as physical capability. (And don't suggest himself - not happening! )
Milton is probably the best option, with two bottles on the go.
Thank you for pointing that out lily, I was starting to worry about all these Milton drinkers.
Coffee here, Kenco Colombian which is OK but not as nice as Kenco Costa Rican. In a mug, non Milton sterilised, in fact not even washed from my earlier caffeine hit.
