If you buy an expensive cream I am sure it will last longer than this article is saying. Do any of us go for blow drys during the week? I must be odd because although I like the cut my hairdresser does it never feels like me until I have blown it dry myself the next day.
I have been known to in the past when I had a special event to attend but my new hairdresser doesn't have the knack with my hair so I'm better off doing it myself (although I can't wield a hairdryer).
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.
Report back on how you get on with it @itchy It tingled the very first time I used it but nothing after that. Mine came from eBay so it could have been old stock
I think it is supposed to tingle Liv. Did you see any results? I am noticing a lot more open pores and pigmentation these days so hoping for some improvement.
Yes, it is supposed to tingle @itchy & other than the first time, it didn't. That's what made me think it was old stock. And no, because of that I didn't see any difference so I can't really judge it. I've had good result's with Paula's Choice though

Have to say I didn't rate Liquid Gold either. BUT back then my skin was actually pretty blumming good anyway. I went through a rough patch with acne and then, on Liv's suggestion, went with a glycolic. I'm a bit iffy about things I can't buy on the high street though. It's just my personal foible. I like to know I can go and buy one if I'm desperate lol. Also because my skin had been iffy I wanted to start with a lowish percentage. So I opted for Nip + Fab. Hadn't nipped me but it has been fab.
Within about a month the few remaining bits of acne were pretty much under control. A year in and I don't have acne at all, other than the odd spot and we all get those. I do have pigmentation problems and they're improved by not gone. Mine are laser therapy scars though so not your average problem and stubborn as all get out. Also they're always worse in the summer. Pores? Well I didn't really worry about them. But actually they have improved as well. Overall my skin is clearer and softer. I need less foundation than I've done since about my 30s.
I think I'm actually the same age as you Itchy. My backside is hefty though which helps in the face department but I've barely got a wrinkle and although this hasn't helped with the wrinkles it has made me look more youthful.
I'd been using it for about three months when a good friend grabbed my arm over lunch and said "right lady I want to know what you've been using on your skin". I know her well and we both use similar products. She said that she always thought my skin was really good but it had gone from really good to bloody amazing lol. And she's a straight talker. Never mean but isn't prone to flattery for the sake of it. She now uses a glycolic and is really pleased with the results.
I think it's the glycolic bit that matters rather than the brand. Give the liquid gold a go and if it's crap send it back.
I read those out to Mr Cog this morning, and reminded him how low maintenance I am. I get my hair cut and coloured every 5 weeks £49 and a blow dry every week £12.
I use Aldi caviar cream, and Boots No7 cleanser and toner. I do my own gel manicures, fingers and toes. I don't use expensive shampoo and conditioner either.
I will use the LG and if it is no good, I will try another one.
I am 4 days older than you Tinks but until recently was a heavy smoker which wrecks your skin and also I sunbathed a lot in my youth which accounts for the pigmentation.
You couldn't get a cut and colour here for much under about £60. Even the cheapest of the cheap hairdressers charge about £22 for a blow dry.
I go to a small salon but my stylist is from one of the bigger salons. I pay £28 for a blow dry (which is rare for me) then a cut and blow dry is £37 and a cut and colour is £78.
I'm pretty low maintenance too. My colour only needs doing every 12 weeks and I do use fairly pricey brands for skincare and makeup I stick to the basics and I don't buy oodles of different things. One foundation, one mascara, one blusher lol.
Hope you see a difference Itchy. I'm sure you will and the not smoking will soon show in your skin.
My hairdressing costs are only inexpensive, because my hairdresser is also my best friend and works from home. I was really surprised to see a local salon charging over £30 for a blow dry, and £80 for a tint
