LCFC, Premier League Champions 2015/6, are currently nearing the end of a ridiculously invented competition whereupon they meet other champions in a mini-cup sort of tournament.
We've already thrashed Celtic 1-1 (6-5 on penalties), and narrowly lost 4-0 to Paris St Germain. Tonight we take on strugglers Barcelona in Stockholm of all places. I predict a right drubbing.
Ranieri says the loss to Paris was a learning curve. I don't believe for one moment we'll have learned much from that particular embarrassment, other than we're actually quite unprepared for the Champions League proper next season.
Anyhoo, I'm going to watch tonight's game (not in Stockholm obvs ) at 7pm, so that should ensure my worries are proved hopelessly wrong. LOL
Is a testimonial match to raise money for the named player or have I misunderstood that?
If the answer is "yes" then why on earth would anyone pay good money so that Mr Potato Head and his charming bride can go on yet another bloody holiday to Dubai, St Barts or on one of Philip Green's many yachts?
