Well I was hooked. The acting was brilliant as were the scene sets. Some newspapers ran a story about historical inaccuracies, but that doesn't really bother me. It's on again tonight
Yes I am, I enjoy historical programs as long as they're an accurate representation and the writers don't try and modernise the story to appeals to a wider audience. Some of the 'crowd' scene's and backdrops of buildings etc were a bit naff but it's got a good cast so am hoping it'll be good, I'm out this evening so will record part two to watch later in the week
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
Hopefully, we are recording it - televisual recording device permitting - and will binge watch when it's finished. I prefer that because you don't forget what's happened from one week to the next and can avoid the ads.
Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to.

I know what you mean about some of the scene's being dark. I appreciate it's set in times when the only lighting was by candles or gas and they want it to look authentic but surely there's a happy medium because the audience do need to be able to see what's happening

The same thing was said about 'Wolf Hall' but I find it atmospheric. Mind, I have watched a fair few horror films in my time where they are stumbling around in the dark
