Not interested in a classic car. All I require is a reliable vehicle. I would like to choose an exotic train trip instead- Orient Express, Blue Train, Trans Siberian etc will do.

Nooo.... much more fun to drive yourself across the continent in a flashy car surely?
E type for me. Only one I've driven is a Capri. I have driven a Lotus but not the Europa.
Thanks for the link Frazz. I think that website makes it clearer on the number of cars from the year of registration. The number for my car is still about the same. 300 and something for mine and less than 20 for the Lotus I have driven lol.
Nothing has ever come close to the E Type for design, the Concord of the car world.
It's so sleek, manages to be beautiful and handsome, very sexy, not over macho and appeals equally to both sexes. I've never understood why Jaguar have not modernised and bought it back, it would still be a best seller.

It's gorgeous and I want one!!
Saw one in Sandsend today, a burgandy coloured one with roof off. It looked stunning.
Jaguar did replace it with the XJS, and while that was another classic, it was also an unreliable rust bucket. Without checking the site, I bet there's more E-Types left than XJS's.
