I do understand how you feel though. Since Itchy departed, we have been tempted so many times to get another one (or two) kittens. Strangely enough the week before Christmas, a man who lives down the lane arrived here holding the most gorgeous kitten who he had clipped with his car. He thought it belonged to us. I nearly took it in (there are so many strays round here and cats are not really loved). I did stop myself as I thought about the cost of vets fees etc and then the upset we suffered when Itchy and Scratchy were run over.
I had to do it quickly though as 25 was hovering down the hall and I knew if he saw the puddy, it would mean a new baby in the family.
Thanks everyone, you're getting me more excited! I've been panicking a bit, but it will be Ok I hope.
The kitten is believed to be female (But Millie went to the vet the first time as Harry!!). I don't know if the sex makes any difference, it was a male kitten before that then female cat took a dislike to. Just a case of fingers crossed I think.
If it is female (I hope you don't mind FP) I think it will be Maisie, possibly Daisy. If it's a boy it will be Billy. I haven't seen the kittens yet, the little face will probably decide the name. The box my Kitchenaid came in has a 4 inch factory cut "door" in one corner and is going to be purrfect for its first bed/hideaway.
The box sounds like an excellent idea she can use it as a refuge, play den, sleeping pod or hide away if she needs or wants to get away, love the names and agree you know what'll suit best when you see it
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right, the only difference is they're wrong
