There's always one isn't there? There use to be a problem unneutered tom but fortunately he's no longer around. It's an abscess that's a worry, and expense! He's bound to have the occasional scrap, just hope he doesn't need his litter tray back everytime lol!
Poor Boots. I hope he is back to himself soon. There is nothing worse than a cat-fight. Itchy and Scratchy did not run into much trouble like that, but they usually roamed around together.
Aww. Poor Boots. The accident is a sure sign he's been upset by it. Have you got Feliway? A touch of rescue remedy in the water might help too and if he's still stressed then may be try Zylkene.
Harvey is a stress bucket. Zylkene works with him when he's really bad. You can buy it online or at large pet shops. The first time he ever sat on my lap for a few seconds was when he was on the Zylkene ahead of a vet's visit.
This has reminded me of Megs enemies, you know the ones with the amusing names. Big bugga, Herrod the grape and Judas Asparagus
I caught Judas Asparagus slinking up the garden the other day. Lana Turnip walked past just yesterday, saw Meg eating inside & turned around to flee. Meg was too interested in what was in her dish to notice. The daftest time was when Big Bugga looked at her through the patio window and thereafter she went nuts when she saw her own reflection anywhere. We had to cover up the mirror on the landing!
We just don't see any other cats come near any more. I think Harvey is definitely king cat in the neighbourhood. Mind you if I was a cat and I saw him coming I'd think twice. He's as soft as butter really but he's a big bugga.
The wee cats across the road just never venture into the front garden. One of them is quite feisty by all accounts but she scarpers if Harvey is around. Fortunately he doesn't invade their garden so they co-exist quite happily.
There are other cats around. They just don't come anywhere near.
Other than Harve's ripped ear ... acquired as a young cat ... he never seems to have a mark on him. Alf has a few marks every now and then so he must be fighting somewhere.
